Beyond The Line
Essay
Would you rather have George or Lennie as a Friend?
In life many friends will come and go. If I had to choose between Lennie and George I will go with Lennie as a friend. The reason why I would choose Lennie over George is because I feel like he would not try to hurt me and would always be their for me. I always feel like I would show Lennie how to be more independent because I no he can be. I would also choose him as a friend because he is loving and caring deep down inside. These things are all great things I look in when picking friends and feel that Lennie would show them more then George.
In past friendships I have had friends come and go for all the wrong reasons. I feel that Lennie would be there whenever I needed him and would love me even more if I give him a pet. Lennie treated George very nice and did mainly what ever he wanted him to do.
I believe that people treat Lennie less then he is really made up to be. I think he loves animals and there is nothing wrong wit that. i think that with Lennie i would be ale to teach him new things and sow him things couldn't.
Lennie has a disability
In conclusion i feel thathe wouls be a much better friend . Because i can show him things and get him better him

Test: Between the Line
Was there a time in this book when you thought that Candy's dog was symbolic to anyone?
To me the dog represented Crooks. The dog was dieing slowly and he knew he wouldn't be around for long. i believe they treated Crooks like a die dog. They were both good for one thing and then when they were done with them they treated them however they wanted to. The dog was lifeless because he was ageing as time went on and Crooks wasn't really ageing but lacking life because they worked him like a young slave. i feel the dog and crooks were two important people in the book and should have been treated better then they did.
